NEWARK, NJ — A production company will be capturing video footage in Newark this week, the latest project in a growing trend that’s taking place in New Jersey’s largest city.
Filming will close several streets in the city on Thursday, Dec. 14 and early Friday, Dec. 15, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety. Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and to plan alternate routes.
The list of street closures includes:
- Halsey Street between Bleeker Street and Academy Street
- Bleeker Street between Washington Street and Halsey Street
- Linden Street between Washington Street and Halsey Street
- Warren Street between Washington Street and Halsey Street
- Prudential Drive between Broad Street and Halsey Street
- Cedar Street between Broad Street and Halsey Street
- New Street between Broad Street and Halsey Street
In addition, the following streets will have brief, intermittent closures from 8 p.m. on Thursday to 4 a.m. on Friday:
- Academy Street between Broad Street and Washington Street
- Raymond Blvd. between Broad Street and Washington Street
The name of the production company and/or project involved in this week’s filming wasn’t immediately available.
